No surprises here
The Washington Post is reporting that Atlanta Hedged Crimes in '96 Bid. This really isn't anything shocking to those of us who have lived here during the administration of that Bill Campbell guy, which was horrifically corrupt. The only thing left for him to do was get caught smoking crack on video tape like DC mayor Marion Berry - and if something like that had happened, he, like Berry, would no doubt blame it on racism. Neal Boortz routinely took on the sleaziness of Campbell and his minions and reported often on the suspicions of corruption in the police department, something which did not endear him to Campbell. Now the new chief and mayor are saying, in effect, that Boortz's suspicions were true. No surprises for me on that one. Wish I could listen to him comment on this on his show tomorrow, but it'll be difficult while on the road.
We hope to make it as far as Mitchell, South Dakota tomorrow. That's probably a good 16-hour drive, but it will make the next day's drive much easier.
