Great post, Ann. The most weight I ever lost was about 35 lbs after my daughter was born. It was EXTREMELY hard to do and took 2 years for me to figure out why all my efforts weren't working. This article (http://home.howstuffworks.com/diet.htm) changed my life. I finally understood why it is so EASY to gain weight and so hard to lose it. I'll have to go through all of it again after this baby comes, too. I'm not saying I could ever know what you went through, but I do have a new understanding of why the average person is doomed to gain and gain and gain...each year of life. Somethings got to change in our society. Like you said, we're all too hurried and distracted to resist the convenience and allure of high calorie foods.

its possible to lose weight only eat decent food no sugars etc. and do about anhours walking a day,three meals no snacks no sugar and i promise youll lose fat,
